Togetherness

(4th Feb 2011, Christ University, Bangalore)

Beautiful lights & beutiful people with beautiful clothes. When these elements are set on center stage, you have the attention of an entire auditorium. The participants of  In Bloom Fest. had given their best to impress the judges and the audience and their performance sure did captivate me. I have a few more of the Fest’s on stage photos under InBloom Set on my Flickr profile.

Her innocence has made her brave. And capturing moments of her braveness gave me the confidence for a baby photographer like me, who is just a new born in the world of professional photography, to be bold in capturing her every move.

K7C unleashed: A blog post of Gratitude

Posted in Blogger Says with tags , on November 23, 2010 by Kurian

Weblog, Page 9, November 2010 issue of Students Magazine

I consider page 9 of this month’s edition (November 2010) in Students Magazine as one of my first official achievements in the field of art. I truly am honored to see my blog published in a magazine that is all set for students and more over reading about it has filled me with gratitude.

So, I would like to acknowledge a few people. Firstly, Ashfaq Ali Ahmed – for his kind words written about me and my blog; The Students Magazine – for a Weblog page which is dedicated to bloggers, which gave an opportunity for my blog to go public; My dear friends & friendly foes – for their praise/critiques, which inspired & motivated me to do more; All my art teachers – for being able to bare a restless and mischievous specimen like me; My parents -  who pampered me with all my techno needs & their blessings; and finally, I would finally thank WordPress for such an awesome blog. They are the skeleton beneath the flesh of my Graphic Design Blog.

Thank You,
God Bless & Cheers
:]

The Happiness Behind His Smile

Posted in Articles/Journals, Films with tags , on November 20, 2010 by Kurian

Main Still – Naguvina Hinde

‘Naguvina Hinde’, meaning “Behind a Smile” in Kannada, is a short-film directed by Ajay Yogi. The film portrays a life of the poor kid who lives in an urban society and aspires to learn. But his dreams remain a dream due to his unfortunate lively hood. His everyday life begins by taking care of his mother who is paralyzed and bed ridden, he then starts his way to his work place where he is designated to be a cobbler. He works hard trying to earn every single rupee which he would need for his livelihood. The kid’s only play time is when he walks the way between his home and work, where he sees young people who are about his age living a healthy normal life with no financial struggles to worry about. Such a situation in a child’s life is the key factor of the film. The film diplomatically shows the maturity and the responsibility that the kid deals with at a very tender age and also shows the desires of a knowledge seeking young soul which deserves to live a normal life.

This film is Directed by a theater artist named Ajay Yogi; Produced by Kala Ganesh who gave absolute support in completion of the film; Pridhvi Sunain Zorro, the Editor, gave the film it’s classy desaturated tone to fit the theme; the Camera was handled by Girish & Mahesh; Raghavendra played the kid’s role and Manjula offered to play the versatile act of the kid’s ill mother. And I contributed a little by helping Ajay on the pre-production phase of the film and gave a finishing touch by designing the Poster & the DVD Cover.

Butterflower

Posted in Photography with tags , on December 19, 2009 by Kurian

“Love is like a butterfly, it goes where it pleases and it pleases wherever it goes.”
(Unknown Author)

Not a real butter fly, its just the metallic wing of a show-case piece, with flowers on its back. The ground was creamy in color with dust and droplets of candle wax; and on that lay a “ButterFlower” and i just couldn’t resist snapping it on my phone cam.
